On Monday, I set up my air purifier at my desk. I keep seeing posts about office air making us all ugly and greasy by 3pm (which I have my tinfoil hat on for) and I'm going to try to combat it with a small air purifier at my desk. :) I've settled into my desk a bit more with my books set up, some photos hung with magnets, and a couple of little trinkets from home. My boss is also in the office this week and she brought a gift bag full of goodies from Bucees. <3
Tuesday, I took a half-day at work because Flynn had to go to the vet (just a nail trim!) I went to the gym for about an hour and a half for a full-body strength training day. Later at night, I went to a local park to put myself to the test and time myself whilst running a mile. I walked about half of it and still made it under 15 minutes, which is huge! I haven't done an under 15m mile since high school, probably. I'm super proud of myself physically. :)
Wednesday after work my team and I went out for dinner. Our boss lives in a different city and she was in the office the first half of the week, so this was our send-off to her with some time to catch up and chat! It was some well-needed social work time at a new restaurant. We went to Lazy Dog, and while the interior design was cool, the food was mid if you're a veg like me!
Friday, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry for a member preview of the Anne Frank exhibit. I'm planning on writing a large post about my year with a membership, whether or not I thought it was cost-effective, and everything I saw this year. After the museum, we went to a new bookstore called 57th Street Books, hopped over to Seminary Co-Op Bookstore, and ate at Medici which was delicious and affordable! I tried a cider that was really good, but I typically go for cider if I'm drinking at dinner and it's available.
I tried a couple of other drinks over the weekend. I'm trying to expand my booze pallet and figure out what I like and what I don't. I'd like to attend more breweries or wineries or cideries and taste different things. My goal is to tune my booze pallet up this year. Not that a vodka Red Bull doesn't always hit, just trying to mature it a bit!
I tried Sir, This is a Wendy's from Young Blood Brewery at the Milwaukee Brewing Company and wow do I hope they have a storefront because I'd try everything they have to offer.
Sunday, I had a Prickly Pear Marg at La Fiesta. Nothing brand new to me, but it was delish. <3
I reached 100 Days of tracking my food on Lose It! this week, too. :)
