April Recap ◦ TBR, Weight Loss, and Debt

What a fruitful month, I think.

I fell a little bit off of the wagon at the beginning of April, but that is to be expected as we round the three-month mark. The population at my gym is thinning out, I'm sleeping in later, I haven't been consuming as much (which may be a good thing!) I saw a post that said something along the lines of, "The most depressed you are, the more you consume." I can assume it was referring to doomscrolling, but I started evaluating how much media I intake from all outlets: YouTube, streaming apps, books, music, social media. Some days I feel like a trash can full of fairly useless content I've been inhaling throughout the day.

So, I deleted TikTok, to start.

And I've decided to spend May creating instead of consuming, but that's for us to talk about next month.

TBR

In April, I read two books: Rejection by Tony Tulathimutte and Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis.

My goal for this year is to enjoy all of the things I own before acquiring new things. This includes reading through my TBR, listening to all of my records, and catching up on scrapbook projects. I created a Google Sheets doc with all of the things I want to be a part of this endeavor on it so I'm aware of what I own and not being wasteful with my money.

This is only one book from my TBR checked off, Rejection was a library book. <3

Weight Loss

I am down 12lbs (.6lbs this month!)

I've been watching my muscle mass grow on my scale, so I am going to make this a cardio-heavy month to try to cut some weight. I was doing hard in cardio the first month and a half, but I love weightlifting so much more.

NSV: I ran my first full mile every outside! I did it in about 14:03. I'm setting a goal to work heavy on cardio and cut that time down with the ultimate goal of completing a 5k by my birthday in October.

Debt

The total of my credit card debt is down $3679.78 this month! ($6,871.88 Total)

This is my new highest payoff month and will stay my highest unless we have another month where I'll have three checks before I pay everything off. I'm on track to have everything paid off by the end of August, which is a month before my birthday.

My goal after that is to get my car fixed up and detailed. <3
