I realize we're a solid chunk into March by the time you're seeing this, but my habit of the month has been to close all of the rings on my Apple watch at least once a week. My calorie goal is set at 1400 every day, but I reached that this week on a day I was in the office followed by a 5K at the gym.
This was a bill pay-off week. I moved in with my parents almost two months ago now but have offered to cover utilities at the old house while work is being done. Utilities are caught up and I was able to throw some extra money to pay off my Klarna account, a smaller store card, and make my credit card with the largest balance current again. :)
Book of the Week is Home is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose. I enjoyed Rose's previous title The Perfect Marriage a lot, and I'm currently on a thriller kick for the first time in forever so I was in the headspace to enjoy this title a lot. I also have the collector's edition where the book comes in a box that mimics a VHS tape. I'll come to the table with a full review soon, but I enjoyed this a lot!
I've also started First Time Caller by BK Borison and I want to like it a lot more than I do! I'm really trudging through it, by no fault of the author, I'm just not as captivated by it as I want to be because the covers to her series are STELLAR and I enjoy her writing style so much.
Lastly on the book front, I received by book club title for work and I have to tell y'all I'm not loving it so far. It's another thriller about an author who returns to her old family home and secrets keep revealing themselves. I'll write more about it in an official review on here, but I think I'm burning out on reading right now because nothing is holding my attention.
At home, I organized the clothes I have in bins underneath my bed. I have four of them: holiday clothes, seasonal clothes, special occasion clothes, and shorts/jeans. When I moved all of my clothes over, some were in the wrong place and left out when they should be packed up. I spent a morning watching some HR training videos and re-sorting those bins.
My gym routine has been less muscle focused and more cardio with the goal of completing a 5K. I'm intimidated by running on the treadmill at the gym, but I've been focused on my distance over time to ensure I can complete the 3.2 miles and I can consistently! On the days that I am tired of only walking, I'll hop on the weight machines to shake it up, but right now my routine is very cardio-heavy.
The social highlight of my week was a Sunday visit to my best friend's apartment to hang out. My cup is running empty and any time I can see my friends and chat and reminisce and commiserate is always welcome. I love seeing her doing so well, excited about prospective plans, and being so confident in the person that she is. I love my friends sm. <3 (This was also the day I accidentally dialed 911 and they texted me and I thought it was fake.)
