Are we three months in already? Why does it feel like not much has changed? It has to be changing, right?
Monday, I went to the gym after work with my one of my closest friends, Sage. She has a newer Planet Fitness by her, and she's been getting more into weightlifting, so we decided to work out together and it was great! Sometimes I'm intimidated to learn new machines or workouts, especially when it comes to free-weights. Going with Sage gave me the opportunity and confidence to take up that space and experiment without the anxiety of being alone.
Tuesday my work hosted a book club that I actually read the book for! I sat next to a new employee and a girl on my team I don't normally chat with. This was one of my first office things on my own and it was a lot of fun! I have only been at my job for almost three months and they have a lot of fun events that are so different from my last position which was remote, and I've been thoroughly enjoying them. :)
The remainder of the week was spent cleaning my space. I went through my clothes and got a full bag set for donation. Reorganized any clothes that are packed up, like shorts and holiday clothes. I took any garbage, sorted craft supplies, added new books to my bookshelves, and re-watched Girls. Keeping up with my space has fallen to the backburner since I have been working and going to the gym. It was fruitful to take the time and sort everything out.
Sunday, Jorge and I went to Waterfall Glen: the same forest preserve I was at a few weeks ago. We hiked about nine miles, the weather was overcast and warm, it was really nice. :) I've been trying to spend Sunday on a long outdoor walk instead of in the gym so I can get a day of fresh air before the week at work.
